Et David dit à Joab et aux chefs du peuple: Allez, faites le dénombrement d'Israël, depuis Beer-Schéba jusqu'à Dan, et rapportez-le-moi, afin que je sache à combien il s'élève.

And David said to Joab and to the rulers of the people, Go, number Israel from Beersheba even to Dan; and bring the number of them to me, that I may know [it].
