Ils rejetèrent ses lois, l'alliance qu'il avait faite avec leurs pères, et les avertissements qu'il leur avait adressés. Ils allèrent après des choses de néant et ne furent eux-mêmes que néant, et après les nations qui les entouraient et que l'Eternel leur avait défendu d'imiter.

And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that [were] round about them, [concerning] whom the LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them.
