Then Zedekiah the king commanded that they should commit Jeremiah into the court of the prison, and that they should give him daily a piece of bread out of the bakers' street, until all the bread in the city were spent. Thus Jeremiah remained in the court of the prison.

Le roi Sédécias ordonna qu'on gardât Jérémie dans la cour de la prison, et qu'on lui donnât chaque jour un pain de la rue des boulangers, jusqu'à ce que tout le pain de la ville fût consommé. Ainsi Jérémie demeura dans la cour de la prison.
