parce qu'ils n'étaient pas venus au-devant des enfants d'Israël avec du pain et de l'eau, et parce qu'ils avaient appelé contre eux à prix d'argent Balaam pour qu'il les maudît; mais notre Dieu changea la malédiction en bénédiction.

Because they met not the children of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam against them, that he should curse them: howbeit our God turned the curse into a blessing.
