Alors ils prirent Jérémie, et le jetèrent dans la citerne de Malkija, fils du roi, laquelle se trouvait dans la cour de la prison; ils descendirent Jérémie avec des cordes. Il n'y avait point d'eau dans la citerne, mais il y avait de la boue; et Jérémie enfonça dans la boue.

Then took they Jeremiah, and cast him into the dungeon of Malchiah the son of Hammelech, that [was] in the court of the prison: and they let down Jeremiah with cords. And in the dungeon [there was] no water, but mire: so Jeremiah sunk in the mire.
